FIELD: mining technology. SUBSTANCE: this allows for improving safety in mining operations with increased extraction of minerals. It can be used in developing mineral seam deposits including those which are risky as to gas-dynamic occurrence. According to method, created in preliminarily degassed upper layer of design contour of interchamber pillars are pliable pillars. This is done by cutting splittable workings over axis of interchamber pillars with subsequent working of chamber reserves. This is performed with delay as to cutting splittable workings which is determined by relation brought forth in description of invention. Working of chamber reserves is effected after degassing of upper layer of seam within limits of chamber design contour. Roof of chambers and splittable workings are located at one level. Height of various workings is twice less than width of pliable pillars. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 dwg
