FIELD: mining technology. SUBSTANCE: method can be used in areas where risk of flooding underground storages of toxic waste in salt-bearing rock formations is possible. According to method, storages are created by driving chambers and connecting underground workings for connection with mine shaft. Made are V-shaped sections in longitudinal profile of underground workings. Pipeline is laid through connecting underground workings to storage via V-shaped sections. They are flooded with brine saturated with components of surrounding rock mass. Gas or air is supplied to storage through pipeline. Their amount compensates for increasing pressure brought to bear upon brine by raising height of water column. Application of aforesaid method and arrangement enhances operational reliability and prevents ecological danger. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 9 cl, 1 dwg
