FIELD: agglomeration; production of iron-ore sinter for blast-furnace refining process. SUBSTANCE: method includes preparation, sintering, machining, determination and check of quality of sintering products and plotting of mathematical models. Determined the first are dependences of parameters characterizing the crushability of agglomerated cake; then mass fraction of fines in crushing products obtained at different levels of crushing energy are determined through measurements and are calculated in accordance with the following equation: $$$, where q is mass fraction of fines contained in crushing products of agglomerated cake, percent; $$$ and b are parameters characterizing the crushability of agglomerated cake; E is specific crushing energy of crushing the agglomerated cake, J/kg. Control of quality of agglomerated cake is effected depending on relationships of parameters obtained preliminarily and sintering parameters through comparison of present magnitudes of q and b with test magnitudes and respective correction of sintering parameters.
