FIELD: molecular biology, genetic engineering. SUBSTANCE: fragment of genome DNA from human ischiatic nerve encoding ciliary neurotrophic factor (SN-CNTF) is cloned and sequenced. DNA sequence that can be used for human SN-CNTF expression in E. coli cells is obtained and recombinant expression vectors involving the indicated sequence are constructed. After transformation of suitable E. coli strain with the indicated vectors, selection and culturing transformants an active form of human recombinant SN-CNTF is isolated from bacterial cells. Its molecular mass is 24 kDA and its N-terminal amino acid sequence is identical with that of native protein sequence. EFFECT: improved method of protein factor preparing. 5 cl, 1 tbl, 22 dwg
