FIELD: provision of fire safety of crew pressurized compartments of spacecraft. SUBSTANCE: on the launching position and on the leg of injection of spacecraft into near-plant orbit, oxygen concentration is maintained in pressurized compartment in the value which is below the burning range (by oxygen concentration) for the most inflammable material found in compartment. In orbital flight, ventilation system in pressurized compartment upon alarm of fire detectors is changed over to cyclic mode. The latter provides for a period of disconnected state of ventilation system for a time during which gas medium motion is discontinued up to the level corresponding to the lower limit of material burning by the velocity of flow in zero gravity state, and the period of engaged ventilation system for a time during which gas medium in closed ventilation contour in pressurized compartment passes between two adjacent fire alarms. In this case, the cyclic mode of operation of ventilation system continuous up to the moment of beginning of lowering of level of fire hazardous factors detected by means of fire detectors. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 dwg
