FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves applying magnetic resistance tomography of brain in axial and sagittal projections with images weighted on T2 being produced under conditions of restoration inversion with parameters of 1000(50)85ms and sequential one with parameters of 1000(220- 250)85ms and 1000(260-300)85ms. Hyperintensity signal at parameters of 1000(50)85ms being observed, sclerosis multiplecsus is to be diagnosed. Hypointensity signal at parameters of 1000(220-250)85ms being observed, disease debut is considered to be the case. Hypointensity signal at parameters of 1000(260-300)85ms being observed, acute demielinization process is considered to take place. Isointensive signal being observed, remission is considered to be the case. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of diagnosis.
