FIELD: oil and gas production. SUBSTANCE: initial oil saturation of each stratum is determined and initial watering is predicted. Strata are then operated in order of loss of their oil saturation. First stratum is operated until watering of order of magnitude of next stratum is achieved and thus, gradually, all strata are operated.
