FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has frame, filament clamping unit and filament disintegrating members positioned on disks. Filament disintegrating members have rounded edge. Clamping unit has similar pressing endless belts and rotating shaft with slots of two types, which are alternatively arranged in spaced relation along shaft length. Slots of first type have section similar to that of pressing belts. Disks are mounted in spaced relation on other rotating shaft, with disk spacing being equal to average length of filament upon stapling. EFFECT: increased efficiency and high quality of filament by improved cleaning of filament from contaminants. 3 dwg
