FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves forming filament flow in the form of sliver; clamping sliver and stapling by double- sided beating of filament in direction perpendicular to silver advancement direction; simultaneously acting upon certain part of sliver from two sides by air streams in stapling zone. Beating of sliver by beating devices in direction perpendicular to sliver advancement direction results in intensive effect of sliding flexure and, accordingly, effective slivering and separation of individual elementary flax filaments or complexes of combinations of technical filaments in stapling zone without damaging and destroying of filaments. Beating actions facilitate intensive stirring and arrange filaments in parallel with one another. Also, simultaneous action of air streams upon treated silver part provides effective separation of foreign, non-fibrous contaminants from fibers. EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved quality of stapled flax filaments in sliver. 1 dwg
