FIELD: metal continuous casting, namely, high-efficiency process of continuously casting deformed billets. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes buildup mold having four arranged in pairs longitudinal working walls. First pair of walls has upper and vertical lower portions of working surface inclined relative to vertical line and mounted with possibility of rotation at casting process. Second pair of walls is mounted with possibility of reciprocation motion. Working surfaces of first and second wall pairs are provided with recesses. Recesses of first wall pair have radius R of curvature related with wall width by ratio R/b=0.1-0.2. Depth r of recesses of second wall pair is related with wall thickness δ by ratio r/δ=0.03-0.2.
