FIELD: manufacture of building materials, in particular, equipment for production of fibers from thermoplastic materials, mainly, from glass and basalt. SUBSTANCE: device includes melting chamber made of refractory material with die and heater inside melting chamber which is provided with at least two pairs of electrodes both located in upper and lower parts of melting chamber. The first pair of electrodes is installed at height of 0.70-0.95 of melting chamber height and the second pair is installed at height of 0.05-0.30 of melting chamber height. Temperature difference between temperature maximum and temperature by regulating thermocouple of feeder is not more 200 C. Melting chamber height must not be less than 300 mm. EFFECT: higher reliability and productivity of the device and prolonged service life. 1 dwg
