FIELD: machine engineering, namely welding at least three parts with multiple butts, for example at making container for cartridges with waste nuclear fuel. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of positioning mutually spaced at least first and second parts along their butt; making recess in zone of part separation butt, restricting recess by both parts along shrinkage direction in mutually opposite surfaces; inserting respective end of third part into recess for geometrically closing the last; then joining first and second parts by welded joint. Container for cartridges with waste nuclear fuel made by such method features high strength. Such technique allows to join parts made of different type materials.
