FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to synthesis of aliphatic perfluorocarbons of the formula CnF2n+2, where n = 1-8 and cyclic perfluorocarbons corresponding to formulas CmF2m, where m = 3-8. Method is performed by interaction of fluorine and carbon. Fluorine and powder-like carbon are stirred preliminary at 400- -600 C, in the mass ratio 1:(10-1000), respectively. Then fluorine and powder-like carbon interacts in reactor in regime of free falling carbon powder at temperature from 550 to 1100 C for 1-18 s. Formed solid products are recyclized and gaseous products are isolated. Aliphatic perfluorocarbons take a wide use in chemical, refrigerating, electronic and other branches of industry. Cyclic perfluorocarbons are used as components of liquid "Flutek" for control of temperature in electric heating and cooling devices and in processes of hot soldering.
