FIELD: technology of treating semi-precious and jewelry stones. SUBSTANCE: method relates to technology of treating surface and volume of geological-mineralogical specimens. According to method, mineral object is fixed inside vacuum chamber with ionic-plasma source and mineral object is oriented relative to beam of high-speed atomic particles. Used in function of them are protons or atoms of hydrogen. Performed is two-dimensional sweep of aforesaid beam with modulation of its intensity or velocity of sweep according to given picture. Also possible is version when mineral object is additionally rotated with determining intensity of emitting gaseous hydrocarbons and its dependence on orientation of beam with respect to various crystallographic directions of mineral object. After that, according to aforesaid dependence and using feedback method modulated is intensity of beam or velocity of its sweeping with respect to given picture. Application of aforesaid method allows for substantial enhancing in productivity of treating mineral objects including diamonds. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 4 cl, 1 dwg
