FIELD: drinking water technology. SUBSTANCE: artificial mineralized water contains at least one of each calcium, magnesium, an iodine compounds, whose concentrations on conversion to elements are 20-150, 8-120, and 0.01-0.15 mg/l, respectively. Iodine compounds are preferably water- soluble iodides or iodates. Calcium and magnesium compounds are preferably selected from water-soluble chlorides, and/or sulfates, and/or lactates, and/or citrates. Water may additionally contain at least one compound of fluorine (0.1-1.0 mg/l F), and/or selenium (2-9 mcg/l Se), and/or lithium (0.054-0.20 mg/l Li), and/or manganese (0.05- 0.40 mg/l Mn), and/or zinc (0.3-3.0 mg/l Zn), and/or silver and/or copper, the two latter chiefly introduced electrolytically to their final concentrations 10-40 and 50-400 mcg/l, respectively. Water may also contain water-soluble sodium and/or potassium compounds, preferably hydrocarbonates and/or chlorides. Composition for producing mineralized drinking water contains at least one of each calcium, magnesium, an iodine compounds at Ca/Mg/I weight ratio 1:(0.4-0.8):(0.0005-0.001). Composition may as well contain other ingredients necessary for drinking water. Artificial mineralized water can be utilized both in preparing beverages and foods.
