FIELD: high-definition TV. SUBSTANCE: high-definition TV signal is represented by data flow in packets form as sequence of data fields which are transmitted with non-constant rate due to difference between intervals which contain additional information between data. Each data field is preceded by additional field synchronization segment, which is followed with 312 data segments in packets, each of which contains corresponding additional information. Transport processor generates data packets with respective headers and provides continuous processing with constant rate by simultaneously feeding data flow in packets into unit which generates sequence of data fields by insertion of additional information into flow. Goal of invention is achieved by transmission of data from transport processor to respective buffer interface unit in response to character 3/8 clock frequency signal and by preset buffer filling level. Device for recording or displaying video signal receives data flow in packets from transport processor at constant data rate and outputs data flow with constant rate into buffer interface unit. Respective transport processor in receiver operates in synchronism with data field process and also provides continuous processing with constant rate. Device for recording or displaying video signal receives data flow from buffer interface at constant data rate after removal of additional information and outputs data flow with constant rate into transport decoder. EFFECT: simplified design and improved quality of image upon processing of data flow structured in data fields, constant data transmission rate without conversion of initial data field structure to keep requirements of data field generation unit. 9 cl, 34 dwg
