Line light source, for instance, halogen lamp with reflector, is installed on roof. length of light source exceeds maximum possible distance between extreme positions of contact wire. Light source is optically coupled through contact wire with optoelectronic heads being optical system made in form of lens and integrated photodetecting matrix. Heads are coupled with signal primary processing electronic unit which includes video signal separation and amplification unit, information signal forming unit, sweep unit and interface unit. The latter puts out signals to analyzing and data representation unit. Computer is used as analyzing and data representation unit. EFFECT: improved accuracy of measurement, enlarged operating capabilities, provision of simultaneous measurement of wear, stagger and height of hanger of contact wire. 4 cl, 3 dwg
