Light source is optically coupled through contact wire with optoelectronic head 5 containing lens and integrated multiple-element photodetecting bar. Outlet of optoelectronic head is coupled with inlet of information primary processing electronic unit whose outlet is coupled with computer. Device provides checking of wear, height of hanger and stagger of contact wire. EFFECT: provision of quick response, simplified design, improved reliability in operation and adjusting. 7 cl, 4 dwg
