SUBSTANCE: invention relates to new derivatives of bis-naphthalimide of the general formula (I) where X, X', X'' and X''' are identical or different and taken among the group including hydrogen atom, nitro-, amino-group, NH-lower acyl, hydroxyl, halogen atom, alkyl with 1-6 carbon atoms, or X and X' or X'' and X''' can form ethylene bridge bound with carbon atoms at positions 4 and 5 of cyclic system; R and R' - H, alkyl with 1-4 carbon atoms; A and D are similar or different and mean the group -CH₂-CH₂- that can be substituted with alkyl with 1-4 carbon atoms; B - the group -(CH₂)_n- where n = 3 or 4 and where one hydrogen atom can be substituted with alkyl group with 1-4 carbon atoms, and their pharmaceutically acceptable acid-additive salts. Described compounds show cytotoxic activity. Invention describes also a pharmaceutical composition based on compounds of the formula (I) showing cytotoxic activity.
