CONVERTIBLE BED Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: furniture production. SUBSTANCE: convertible bed has three-sectioned construction with sections pivotally connected one with another. Construction may be converted into bed and seating furniture. Intermediate section is attached to side poles by rotary brackets providing rotation of section through 180 deg and is drawn together with front section by spring which starts upon shifting of this section from dead point. Front section resting upon beam with roller at its end is retracted into space between side poles to turn intermediate section through 180 deg. As a result, three sections are stacked. Rear section is provided with rollers movable along inclined guides fixed on side poles and on rear wall of furniture. EFFECT: enhanced reliability in operation, improved comfort and wider operational capabilities. 2 dwg
