FIELD: foundry. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes casting vessel and mold with working walls having drilled holes for cooling water. Mold has two vertical walls mounted with possibility of reciprocation motion, two walls inclined in their upper portions and mounted with possibility of rotation. Casting vessel is heated one, it has openings arranged circumferentially in bottom for spraying melt. Casting vessel is provided with rotary grate having openings. Inclined upper portions of wall have detachable cover plates made of materials with different values of heat conductivity factor in zone of freezing melt and in zone of reducing skin respectively. Said factors satisfy to relation λ1/λ2= 6-10. In addition detachable cover plate of wall with upper inclined portion has insert mounted in calibration zone. Ratio of heat conductance factors of insert and detachable cover plate λ1/λ2/λ3=(5-8). Ratio of height of insert and motion value of vertical walls λ2/λ3/λ2= (1.2-1.5).
