FIELD: veterinary virology, biotechnology, vaccines. SUBSTANCE: vaccine has an avirulent and purified antigen material as immunogenic (146S + 75S) components of foot and mouth virus, strain A N 1707 "Armenia-98-DEP", adjuvant and supporting medium taken at effective ratios. The strain is deposited in collection VGNKI at registration number 1707 "Armenia-98-DEP". Virus is reproduced in VNK-21 suspension culture cells. Aminoethylethyleneimine at concentration 0.025-0.05% is used as an inactivating agent. Polyhexamethylguanidine at concentration 0.005-0.007% is used for purification of antigen suspension from inert impurities. Aluminium hydroxide gel and saponine are used additionally as adjuvants for preparing adsorbate-vaccine and oily adjuvant is used in an emulsion vaccine. For preparing adsorbate-vaccine and an emulsion vaccine an antigen material containing immunogenic (146S + 75S) foot and mouth virus components is used at concentrations 6.0 and 2.0 mcg/ml, respectively, not less. Vaccine provides protection against foot and mouth virus of type A circulating in Transcaucasian and Near East countries (Iran, Turkey).
