FIELD: railway construction machinery and equipment. SUBSTANCE: machine has unit 5 which in front as to direction of working travel, and rear unit 7. Both units are coupled together by means of hinge 6. Mounted on front unit is base system 15 intended for control of at least one working unit 8 installed on rear unit 7. Base system is made up of base member 16 which is located between two carrier trucks 2 and one measuring axle 17 which runs on rail track. Installed on measuring axle is measuring device 18 which is intended for measuring relative displacement between base member and measuring axle 17. Additionally installed is another measuring device 21 used for determining actual angle created between front unit 5 and rear unit 7 of frame. Method for operation of system is as follows: determined according to position of front frame is theoretical preset position of rear unit of frame. Then, calculated is angle between both units of frame, and also calculated is actual position of rear unit of frame. Proceeding from thus obtained data, control is effected of working unit moving process. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 4 cl, 4 dwg
