FIELD: short-term forecasting of earthquakes, forewarning about catastrophic after-effects of this natural phenomenon. SUBSTANCE: time of recording of electromagnetic radiation generated in seismic focus is simultaneously registered in three points of space as minimum. If changes of gravitational field caused by accelerated displacement of masses are available then time of recording of this change is registered. Coordinates of source of electromagnetic waves and distance to it are determined. Time difference between arrival of signals of electromagnetic waves and recording of change of gravitational field caused by accelerated displacement of masses is used to find velocity of the latter supposing that they have same source. If velocity of propagation of change of gravitational field caused by accelerated displacement of masses Cgr=5.5±0.55 km/s then conclusion on availability of seismic focus is made. Parameters of predicted earthquake are evaluated by means of correlation and/or logical processing of signals of recorded physical fields. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of prediction. 6 dwg
