METHOD OF VODKA PRODUCTION Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: alcoholic beverage industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves preparation of water preliminarily filtered, removal of hardness salts, mixing of free-from salt water with water preliminarily filtered in ratio 1:1 for attainment of pH equal 6-7, decontamination of water by means of mixing it with ozone-air mixture, water ageing up to its complete degasification with the following two-stage filtration: through filter with activated carbon and through filter of high purification. The prepared water is mixed with alcohol in turbulent regime at counter movement of jets of water and alcohol up to homogeneous condition. In the process of mixing, carried out is automatic control of solution by means of separating of a part of stream for determination of its strength through filter-gas separator. The prepared aqueous-alcoholic liquid (solution) is directed for cleaning through battery of columns-adsorbers communicated in succession where activated carbon is in the state of pseudoliquefied layer with periodic regeneration of coal by overheated steam with temperature 160-180 C. Preliminarily prepared formula components are introduced in the process of solution preparation or in finishing vessel depending on vodka grade. The prepared vodka is directed to finishing vessel where it is mixed by multiple recirculation with following final filtration on microfilter from polymer material.
