FIELD: mining art and construction, applicable in exploitation of natural stone, sloping of benches, construction of workings and water-development projects. SUBSTANCE: a layer of stress-deformed rocks formed on the boundary of the guarded mass serves as the screen. Contiguous blast-holes are collared on the preset outline for its creation, and constant expansion forces are exerted on the walls of the blast-holes by mechanical means or non-explosive destructive means. As a result, a static stress field is produced in the space between the blast-holes, which interacts with the shock waves of charge explosions and forms destruction in the form of cranks in the stress-deformed layer oriented along the layer. The advantages of the method are in a sufficiently rare arrangement of blast-holes, absence of blasting operations at creation of the screen, possibility of re-use of the screen blast-holes for sloping of the guarded mass.
