FIELD: machine engineering, possibly grinding and honing hard-to-form materials, particularly in circular grinding machine tools, machine tools with number program control and so on.
SUBSTANCE: method is realized with use of grinding and honing head having two coaxial shafts, grinding wheel with cutting layer axially shifted in direction of working feed, disc with abrasive honing blocks. Honing blocks are jointly secured to disc with possibility of radial unclamping and rolling around in circular direction. Grinding wheel is mounted in hollow shaft. Disc with honing blocks is mounted with possibility of oscillation on spherical journal of central shaft with use of face chuck joined with shaft journal. End of face chuck is designed for engaging with end cam oscillation mechanism being face chuck of grinding wheel. Disc is arranged symmetrically relative to center of sphere of journal by means of doubled thrust rolling bearing assembly. Honing blocks are coupled one with other at their both ends by means of flexible rings for limiting free and arbitrary rotation of honing block in articulation joint. It is possible to control oscillation frequency of disc with honing blocks due to controlling revolution number of central shaft independently upon revolution number of hollow shaft with grinding wheel.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and quality of grinding.
