FIELD: organic chemistry, biochemistry, enzymology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the use of derivatives of azo-bis-(1,2,6-oxadiazole) of the corresponding structural formula (I): where if m = 0 then n = x =0; y = 2-12 and z = 1; or n = x = 1 and z = 2; or n = x = z = 1 and y = 3; or n = y = 1, x = 0 and z = 2 or 3; or if m = 1 then n = x = 0, y = 3 and z = 1 as inhibitors of guanylate cyclase soluble form. The use of compounds of the general formula (I) where m = n = x = 0, y = 2-12 and z = 1 is preferable. The use of derivatives of azo-bis-(1,2,5-oxadiazole) of the general formula (I) where m = n = x = 0, y = 4 or 8 and z = 1 as inhibitor of basal activity and heme-independent stimulation of guanylate cyclase soluble form is preferable. The use of derivative of azo-bis-(1,2,5-oxadiazole) of the general formula (I) where m = n = x = 0, y = 8 and z = 1 as inhibitor of NO-dependent activation of guanylate cyclase soluble form is preferable. Proposed compounds show the more expressed inhibitory effect on basal activity and heme-independent stimulation of guanylate cyclase soluble form by effect of protoporphyrin-IX and Mn2+ ions and also on heme-dependent NO-mediated stimulation by effect of sodium nitroprusside exceeding analogous effects of the known structural analog diamide. Invention can be used for investigation of regulatory effects of nitrogen oxide and mechanism of guanylate cyclase soluble form effect.
