FIELD: liquid and gas meters. SUBSTANCE: proposed meter has housing with inlet and outlet holes inside which measuring unit is located; measuring unit is provided with two ultrasonic transducers and holes for passage of liquid and gas; meter is also provided with unit for attenuation of stray ultrasonic waves which has at least one channel. Transversal size of channel is lesser than length λ of stray ultrasonic waves in liquid and gas. Channel includes many sections which is constriction of cross section of channel by size b . Longitudinal size of each section of channel is equal to λ/2. Proposed meter ensures enhanced accuracy of measurements due to attenuation of stray ultrasonic waves created by external source (pressure regulator) and acoustic coupling between medium under test and material of measuring pipe line.
