FIELD: metal working industry branches, namely diagnostics of lathes during their operation. SUBSTANCE: before turning part in lathe gap between pickup tip and chuck surface is controlled. At working part rotation angle pickup feeds two signals to interface unit. One signal corresponds to one revolution of part and sets instruction of start of taking readings. Second signal corresponds to 1/128 of spindle revolution and forms instruction for taking discrete readings of pickup to be stored in memory of computer. Computer realizes processing of experimental data with use of mathematical statistics methods, forms geometrical three-dimensional pattern of part used for evaluating accuracy factors such as out-of-roundness, ovalness degree, dimension accuracy and so on. EFFECT: possibility of receiving at working process data of accuracy factors that may be achieved at next stages of working part. 1 dwg
