ELECTRON-BEAM WELDING CONTROL SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: automated control complex of vacuum welding facilities using electron- beam guns. SUBSTANCE: system has two electron-beam guns with power units to provide setting of their operation parameters coupled with device to control operating parameters of electron beams of both guns. System includes also device to control gun displacement mechanisms and coordinate table displacement mechanism. At least one article to be welded is placed on coordinate table. System provides preset operating parameters of electron gun. Welding by means of two guns simultaneously cuts down welding time, makes it possible to weld large- size articles from different points by two guns, decreases skewing of seam in welded articles and deformation of article and seam, as deformation of welded articles and weld seam is reduced owing to symmetrical displacement of both guns relative to reference point or plane. EFFECT: improved accuracy and quality of welding of articles of complex configuration, i.e. articles with complex profile of weld seam. 5 cl, 2 dwg
