FIELD: cleaning of gas-duct effluents in various industries. SUBSTANCE: method is based on gas treatment with sign-variable electric field set up in space between ionizing and precipitation electrodes with additional treatment of aerosol particles with travelling electric field simultaneously in two directions: toward incoming gas flow and toward precipitation electrode. Device for cleaning of gas from dust has system of plane-parallel perforated ionizing electrodes and plate precipitation electrodes coated with a layer of homogeneous dielectric. Device also accommodates system of electrodes of travelling electric field made in the form of bend wing-shaped plates with a layer of homogeneous dielectric. System is distributed in the form of framework of electrode profiles with two directions of translational symmetry: along incoming gas flow and toward precipitation electrode. Ionizing electrodes are connected to opposite leads of source of single-phase alternating current. Precipitation electrode is connected to one of leads of source of single-phase alternating current. Electrodes of travelling electric field are connected by rows from side of oncoming gas flow and in direction of their travel line from ionizing electrode, respectively, to beginning of phase windings A,B,C; C,A,B and B,C,A of source of three-phase alternating current. Available for connection neutral of this source is connected to precipitation electrode. Combined treatment of aerosol particles with gas dynamic forces, forces pf electric field applied to between main electrodes and forces of travelling electric field increase efficiency of cleaning of gas from dust in wide interval of gas flow velocities.
