FIELD: cleaning of gases of dust, as well as of disperse phase of associated liquids possessing a high polarity, for example, solutions of acids, alkalis, salts, alcohols, etc. SUBSTANCE: electrostatic precipitator comprises a power supply, ionizer and a system of parallel-plate precipitating electrodes covered with dielectric and installed along the gas flow. The precipitating electrodes are made of structural shapes with plane-parallel bent edges, for example, of channel or double-T shape, and placed in gas conduit in the direction transversal to the gas flow, at a working distance from one another, and along the flow - in rows at a distance in the direction of gas flow equal to the breakthrough gap for production of discharge plasma between the bent edges. The adjacent precipitating electrodes in the rows and between the rows are connected to the opposite leads of the high-voltage AC source. The main working gap is filled with a unipolar negative space charge due to extraction of charge carriers from the zone of discharge plasma. EFFECT: uniform precipitator in active zone of electrostatic precipitator over the whole area of electrodes both of high-resistance dusts and aerosols of associated liquids with a high polarity. 3 cl, 1 dwg
