FIELD: protective equipment. SUBSTANCE: protective mask has casing adapted to be put on user's head. Cavity of casing is communicated to atmosphere via front wall provided with flexible hose mounted into front wall. Free end of flexible hose is removably attached to casing rear wall. Construction of mask allows it to be used for protecting user's respiratory organs from combustion gases and increased temperatures, for instance in the cases of occurrence of forest fires and in cases of danger of being surrounded with fire.
