FIELD: forestry engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves marking reference strips 1-4 forming closed contour. Fire-conducting fuse 5 is conducted along reference strip 4 placed at leeward side, fuse 6 is conducted along strip 2. The end of the fuse 0.4-0.5 times as long as width of the strip to be burnt out, is set in perpendicular to strip 2. Fuse 6 is lit. When set in fire all over its length, it inflames combustible materials on the soil surface. Fire lights the end of fuse 6 in moving in counter-wind direction so that combustible materials on the soil surface are set in fire from the opposite side. The final stage of burning-out process progresses in accelerated mode due to tail wind blowing up the flame of additional burning-out process. EFFECT: higher performance of the method. 1 dwg
