FIELD: fire-fighting engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has fire-conducting fuse 1 produced from hydrophilic uniform combustible material having knots 2 uniformly distributed all over its length. The fuse is impregnated with combustible composition like gasoline and motor oil mixture with caoutchouc added as thickening agent. The fuse is to be laid along the marked burn-out zone boundary line or along base belt edge. Combustible forest materials on the soil surface contacting with the fuse are heated and catch fire in the course of fuse burning. Gasoline mixture available in the composition enables the fire to swiftly propagate along the fuse. Motor oil prolongs combustion time to maintain reliable warming-up and setting the combustible materials in fire on the soil cover. The knots set close to each other play the role of mass-condensers and loci of prolonged combustion.
