FIELD: food industry and cosmetics. SUBSTANCE: eleutherococcus is extracted with drinking water at temperature 40-49 C or 61-70 C for 8-19 or 23-40 h, respectively, and then extract is separated from cake. Eleutherococcus processing waste is extracted with hydrochloric acid solution for 1-2 (4-8) h at 40-49 (56- 75) C. Medium pH 1-3.4 (4.1-4.5) is maintained. Alternatively, preliminary hydrolysis with hydrochloric acid solution for 1.9 h at 40-44 (61-75)C at pH 1.0-4.0 is performed. After washing with water, further extraction is carried out with ammonium oxalate for 2-8 h, water duty of mixture being 1: (1-10). Pectin is subjected to ultrafiltration and drying. EFFECT: expanded process possibilities, raised product recovery, and improved quality of products. 17 cl
