METHOD OF PRODUCTION OF SPECIAL VODKA Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: liqueur and vodka industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves preparing an aqueous-spirituous solution to obtain vodka with the proof index 40%. Sugar as sugar syrup of concentration 65.8% is added into finishing tank. Prepared an aqueous-spirituous solution is stirred thoroughly, passed through carbon-cleansing battery at the filtration rate up to 40 dal/h and 30 dal/h for fresh carbon and regenerated carbon, respectively, and fed into finishing tank. Eucalyptus aromatic alcohol is prepared by distillation off leaves with 50%-th an aqueous-spirituous solution in the ratio of raw to the latter = 1:20. Glycerol is dissolved preliminary in 40%-th an aqueous-spirituous solution, mixed with aromatic alcohol and mixture is kept for 20-30 min. Prepared mixture is added into tank with vodka, stirred thoroughly and proof value is controlled. Vodka is corrected if proof value does not correspond to the standard by addition of ethyl alcohol or water in the same tank. Ready special vodka is fed to bottling with obligatory control filtration. Ready special vodka "Stroganov eucalyptus" has the following components, l/1000 dal of ready product: eucalyptus leaves aromatic alcohol, 2.8-3.2; glycerol, 0.3-0.5; 65.8%-th sugar syrup, 17-17.5; an aqueous-spirituous solution prepared from rectified ethyl alcohol "Ekstra" and purified drinking water, the balance. Method involves the combined use of components and their quantitative ratios that enriches vodka with eucalyptus essential oil containing cineole, pinenes, camphene, fenchene, terpineol and sesquiterpenes and bitter and tannic substances, resins, wax and organic acids also. Vodka has weak rosemary tint in aroma. EFFECT: broadened assortment of special vodka, enhanced biological value and curative-rophylactic properties. 1 tbl, 3 ex
