ADJUSTING VALVE Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: pipe line fittings; chemical industry, power engineering and other industries. SUBSTANCE: adjusting valve has body with cover secured on it, shut-off member with rod, shut-off member position locking unit and control member. Locking unit is connected with control member and cover of valve. Locking unit has circular disk with "N" radius slots and retainer. Slots are rounded-off at area of disk surface. Retainer is made in form of flat spring whose end has bent edges. Every time when shut-off member is set in motion, end of retainer is locked in one of radius slots of disk. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of locking unit for avoidance of spontaneous unscrewing of motion thread during operation of valve; reduced labor consumption; facilitated manufacture of valve. 2 dwg
