FIELD: pipeline valves and fittings. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pipeline valves and fittings and it is designed for use as seat of gate shutoff member of pipelines with high temperature of working medium including abrasive particles. Proposed seat of gate shutoff member has base, sealing layer from side of shutoff member, and through hole. Sealing layer contains metal and metal diaphragm. Metal is in molten state at working temperature of gate and in solid state at normal temperature. Metal diaphragm holds molten metal. Invention is aimed at improving reliability and increasing service life of pipeline fittings with seat of proposed design owing to provision of hermetical sealing of gate at high temperatures of working medium and cutting down labour input when manufacturing the seat.
