LOCKING DEVICE OF VALVES GATE Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: valves; applicable in chemical, power and other industries for protection of valves from nonsanctioned access. SUBSTANCE: locking device of valves gate has a protective holder embracing thread rod and lock with fixing member and key. Sliding nut is installed on thread rod. Sliding nut is made in the form of N-hedron with bead and circular bore. The protective holder is made in the form of hollow cylinder opened from both sides with warning marks on ends. Cylinder internal surface shape mates shape of N-hedron sliding nut and passing into cylindrical surface. Lock is made in the form of one thread couple and has body and fixing member with nose and profile cutout. Nose enters circular bore of sliding nut. Profile projection shape corresponds to key. Axis of fixing member lies in plane of separation of internal surfaces of the protective holder. EFFECT: higher operating reliability, simplified design of locking device and its convenient servicing and extended functional potentialities. 6 dwg
