FIELD: sugar industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves laying sugar beet roots in storage pits. During storage prior to processing mass of sugar beets is subjected to 50-min exposure to amplitude-modulated electromagnetic field at carrier frequency of 1 kHz and modulating vibration frequency within extremely low-frequency band of 3-30 Hz.
