FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves laying sugar beet roots in storage pit; exposing roots to permanent magnetic field with magnetic induction of 0.1 mT and to frequency-modulated electromagnetic field with carrier frequency of 11 kHz at frequency of modulating vibrations within low-frequency band of 3-30 Hz during storage prior to processing. Exposure time is 50 min. Method allows saccharose loss in roots during storage to be reduced. EFFECT: increased efficiency by improved sugar yield during beet root processing. 1 dwg
