FIELD: storage of agricultural products. SUBSTANCE: method involves laying sugar beet roots in storage pits; mounting laser and electromagnetic field emitter near storage pit so that maximum number of magnetic induction lines permeated through the volume of sugar beet root mass. During storage prior to processing, roots are exposed to frequency-modulated electromagnetic field at carrier frequency of 1 kHz and to modulating vibration frequency within extremely low-frequency band of 3- 30 Hz for 50 min, with following exposure to laser radiation within the range of 610-680 nanometers. Method allows sugar loss in roots during storage to be reduced. EFFECT: increased yield of sugar upon processing of roots at sugar beet plants. 1 dwg, 1 ex
