FIELD: storage of agricultural products in sugar beet plants. SUBSTANCE: method involves laying sugar beet roots in storage pits; mounting electromagnetic field source near storage pit so that maximum number of magnetic induction lines of electromagnetic field permeated through the volume of sugar beets laid in storage pit. During storage prior to processing, sugar beet is exposed to electromagnetic field within extremely low-frequency band of 3-30 Hz for 40 min. Method allows sugar loss in roots during storage to be reduced. EFFECT: increased sugar yield upon processing at sugar beet plants. 1 dwg, 1 ex
