FIELD: storage of agricultural products. SUBSTANCE: method involves laying sugar beet roots in storage pits. During storage prior to processing, roots are exposed to frequency-modulated electromagnetic field at carrier frequency of 1 kHz and modulating vibration frequency within extremely low-frequency band of 3-30 Hz for 50 min. Method allows saccharose losses in roots during storage to be reduced. EFFECT: simplified method and increased sugar yield during processing at sugar plants. 1 dwg
