FIELD: mechanical engineering, namely, grinding workpieces with precision revolution surfaces. SUBSTANCE: method contains measuring of the rotation speed and flexible movements of a workpiece and the grinding wheel, radial grinding force, grinding time. Electro-magnetic clutch is used as driving unit device and the external clutch member is fed with electric current and is placed on the faceplate. Internal clutch member is fitted into the mandrel and is spaced from the external clutch member by working clearance. The electric clutch forces the workpiece rotate in a period of black and fine feeding of the grinding wheel during the cutting-in process. The electro-magnetic clutch is disconnected in the first period of sparking out process and the mandrel and a workpiece are braked when the grinding time reaches an amount defined form a given expression.
