FIELD: municipal engineering. SUBSTANCE: settler has rectangular reservoir, at least two carts, scrapers attached to cart, and cart drive. Slit recess is formed in reservoir bottom and two upper guides are arranged in upper part of reservoir, parallel to extended reservoir walls. Two lower guides are mounted on reservoir bottom. Each pair of guides arranged in vertical plane is tightly embraced with closed chain. Cart drive is formed of these two closed chains connected through engine. Scrapers are fixed between pair of carts on tubular support. Settler of such construction may be employed in sewage purifying systems using active slit.
