FIELD: fire-fighting equipment. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has trunk, trunk rotating and fixing device, unit arranged under trunk, reservoir for liquid, and fan driven from internal combustion engine. Unit arranged under trunk is formed as branch pipe extended from trunk in vertical and horizontal direction deviating from trunk axis. Reservoir is connected via pipeline to mentioned unit. While advancing along forest fire front, operator directs trunk to fire edge so that air stream is delivered at high flow rate to decrease flame. At the same time, air-and-liquid flow is ejected from mentioned unit to moisten fire edge and strip of soil surface cover in front of this edge at predetermined lag to provide for simultaneous suppression of flame on fire edge and prophylactic moistening of strip on unburnt place adjoining this edge. In case fire edge is on side opposite to place where operator is standing, operator releases mentioned unit, turns trunk around its axis and retightens connection. As a result, trunk is in leading position relative to unit arranged under trunk. Apparatus is used for extinguishing edge of lower forest fire. EFFECT: increased efficiency by combined action of two different fire-extinguishing agents and enhanced reliability in operation. 3 dwg
