METHOD OF VODKA PRODUCTION Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: alcoholic beverage industry. SUBSTANCE: vodka "Yuzhny Grad" is prepared from ethyl rectified alcohol "Lux", aralia infusion, ascorbic acid, sugar and water. Sugar in the form of sugar syrup with concentration of 65.8% or in the form of aqueous solution is introduced into sorting tank. Aqueous-alcoholic solution is prepared so that to produce vodka of 40% strength. Prepared solution is thoroughly mixed by passing through carbon-cleaning battery with speed of filtration up to 40 dal/h for fresh carbon, and up to 30 dal/h, for regenerated one. Prepared vodka is directed to finishing tank. Aralia infusion is introduced into finishing tank, mixed, and then ascorbic acid is added. It is preliminarily dissolved in corrected water with hardness up to 0.2 mole/cu.m. Content of finishing tank is mixed, if necessary, strength is corrected, and solution is directed for bottling with obligatory control filtration. Prepared vodka "Yuzhny Grad" contains the following ratio of ingredients: aralia infusion, 0.04-0.06 l; ascorbic acid, 0.1-0.3 kg; sugar, 19-21 kg; ethyl rectified alcohol "Lux" and potable corrected water, up to blend strength of 40%.
